Claire Hooper is best known for her role as a Team Captain on Network TEN’s Good News Week but now can also hear her each weekday morning as co-host of Mix 106.5.
She has also appeared on Rove Live, ABC TV’s The Sideshow, The Comedy Channel’s Stand Up! Australia and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Great Debate with Stephen K Amos and Greg Fleet in 2007 and now we are very pleased to have her grace the Happy Endings stage.
Claire began her comedy career in Perth in 2004 when she won her state finals of Triple J’s Raw Comedy. In 2005 she was selected to perform in ‘The Comedy Zone’ at Melbourne International Comedy Festival and won ‘Best and Fairest’ at the National Improv Championships.
In 2006 she scored a Best Newcomer nomination at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival for her first solo show, which went on to earn a place in Scotland on Sunday’s top five comedy picks of the Edinburgh Fringe. Since then she has written and performed three brilliant solo shows: Showgirl, Storybook and Forget Your Troubles, C’mon Get Hoopsy.

With Steve Philp – Tropfest MC 8 years running (2004 -2011)! One of Australia’s busiest comedians and with good reason. Performing on literally every Radio station in the country, Steve can now be seen every week on tele as the new sidekick comedian on the “NRL Footy Show”. Steve was the co-host of ACRA award nominated Saturday morning Breakfast show “Kennedy and Philp” on Nova 969 for 5 years. A world class comedian and a crowd favourite at Happy Endings.
& Matt Okine 2011 Tropfest finalist began his career by becoming a national Triple J RAW finalist in 2004, at the age of 18, after only 3 previous gigs (those being the preliminary stages of the competition!). He was a 2Day FM Comedy God finalist later that year, and in January 2005, Matt took out the Brisbane New Comic of the Year competition.In late 2007, Matt performed on “Rove Live” after winning the Rove Live/Snickers Golden Nut Competition. He followed this with a sell-out show at the Melbourne Comedy Festival (2008) and was flown to Miami as part of NBC’s hit show, “Last Comic Standing”.
