Rhys Nicholson is known for his spine tinglingly stylish black comedy. Brilliantly irreverent and unapologetic, his unique brand of wry humour and sardonic wit combined with a complete lack of self censorship make for hilarious social commentary. The Newcastle-born comedian is ruthless. No subject is taboo.
He offers a fresh perspective on sexuality, coming out, relationships & relocation. Best known for his appearances on the Comedy Channel’s ‘Balls of Steel’, and big hair. At the age of only 22 he has already had great success at International Festival level. He followed a great run at the 2012 Melbourne International Comedy Festival by taking the gong for Best Newcomer at the 2012 Sydney Comedy Festival where he was the deserving winner of this coveted award for his show, Almost A Person.

With Jason Ryder, since 1989, Jason has performed at all major festivals including the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Festival, Carnegie Hall in London, Yankee Stadium in New York and The Masonic Hall in Dubbo!. Touring extensively throughout regional Australia Jason has twice been nominated for the ”MO Comic of the Year Award”.
Film and television have taken to Jason’s style and talent and look with him receiving well over 100 appearances on Australian screens including guest spots on some of Australia’s most popular shows.
Despite his huge and demanding workload Jason has also found time to pen two books Rash’s A – Z of Lying and The A – Z of the Best Jokes in the World (Pan Macmillan) which have both found sales and reached success in Australia and the UK.
