With his laidback style of stand-up, Townes has won over audiences worldwide, having performed in Singapore, Germany, Spain, Ireland, South Africa, Canada, Holland, and all over the UK. In Australia, he’s worked everywhere from Mildura to Broken Hill and Griffith to Wodonga.
Shortlisted for both the People’s Choice Award and title of Sydney’s Best Comedian in the 2011 Time Out Magazine Awards during the Sydney Comedy Festival.

Australian born but UK based for the last decade, Marcus kicked off his career in Melbourne, a finalist and runner up in national competitions ‘Raw Comedy’ & ‘Green Faces’ ‘03 securing him an invitation to the Edinburgh Fringe the same year, followed by a selection for ‘Comedy Zone’ ‘04. In 2005 he appeared at 5 major comedy festivals: Melbourne, Hobart, Montreal and again in Edinburgh where he was invited to attend the Vancouver comedy festival to perform in a Rising Stars showcase.
