Justin Hamilton – Justin has carved out an incredibly successful career as a stand up comedian and writer while maintaining his unique voice within the Australian Comedy scene.

Winner of the prestigious Melbourne international COmedy Festival Piece of Wood Award, as well of The Brian McCarthy Moosehead Memorial Award Festival Director’s Award – The of the biggest awards for Comedy in the world… to top that off  In 2011, The Arts Monthly announced that Justin was the Comedian of the Decade. To that end, Tim Ferguson wrote: “Hamilton’s shows eschew traditional structures and standard subject matter. His work consistently challenges his audiences, asking important questions about history, truth, death and identity. It reveals a razor-sharp intellect and fearless questing heart. His humour is dangerous, offering perspectives that can be frightening in scope and intent.”

2010 saw Justin return to what he does best with his stand up show “Idiot Man Child” touring all over Australia in the first half of the year. Justin has not only sold out numerous solo seasons at the Adelaide Fringe and the Melbourne Comedy Festival but also won awards and nominations to go along with them. He won the 2007 Melbourne Comedy Festival Director’s Award for his show “Three Colours Hammo”, a show that also won the Adelaide Advertiser’s best show award at the 2008 Adelaide Fringe. His 2008 stand up comedy show “The Killing Joke” was nominated for best show at the Melbourne Comedy Festival that year.

“Hamilton resists the easy laugh lines that are the staple of stand-up and that are instantly forgotten. Instead, the show is memorably, blisteringly funny, and poignant at times.”
